The police charged 36-year-old Ján G. from Malacky district. In June, he was supposed to break into a severely disabled senior woman, handcuff her and rob her. If found guilty, he faces seven to twelve years in prison. TASR was informed about this by Bratislava regional police spokesman Michal Szeiff, with the fact that the investigator also processed a motion to arrest the accused.
“On June 7, the man was supposed to enter the yard of one of the family houses, then into its interior, where he approached A 65-year-old severely disabled senior woman, whom he threw to the ground and handcuffed her. He searched the premises of the family house, finding a jewelry box from which he stole chains, bracelets, earrings, and rings made of 14-karat gold. In addition to these things, he also found a payment card, while he forced the woman to reveal her PIN to him under the threat of violence. He left the woman handcuffed and left the house. With the stolen payment card, he subsequently made a cash withdrawal of 800 euros, while by stealing jewelry he caused damage in the amount of 2,830 euros,” he explained.
Ján G. is charged with the crime of robbery committed in a more serious manner in conjunction with the crime of violation of domestic freedom and the crime of unauthorized production and use of means of payment.
