Isabel Figueira was on the ‘Bom dia Alegria’ program this Monday, November 18, talking to Merche Romero and Zé Lopes.
After remembering her personal and professional trajectory, the actress was challenged to talk about the criticism she receives on the Internet, especially about her body.
Isabel Figueira began by emphasizing that media exposure “brings good things and brings bad things”, assuming that the family does not deal well with criticism, and then showed her indignation about the recent news that she is “too thin”.
“I mean, you can’t say that a person is too fat but you can say that the person is too thin! When people all know that I went through a very complicated health process, I have a blood problem that was detected four years ago, I had a tumor that resolved, I had to change my lifestyle, I also wanted to lose some weight. I’m in a super healthy phase, I went for an assessment at the gym the day before yesterday, I have a metabolic age of 29”he began by saying.
Isabel Figueira admitted that the criticism from those who don’t know her is already indifferent to her, showing her ‘revolt’ towards some of the press that gives rise to this type of comments: “(…) For the media to take this, write and include friends of mine who don’t exist is… “Oh, poor thing, she’s skinny, she’s sad” (…). I feel really good, I’m in a super calm and light phase”he reinforced.
Later, the actress recalled the burnout that he suffered 13 years ago, explaining that it was thanks to psychotherapy that he was able to find “tools” to deal better with the nasty comments: “I have necessary tools that I have been building and that doesn’t affect me, it bothers me a little for my children (…) for mine. This “too thin” thing, that was what someone wanted that morning. You shouldn’t write that the person is too thin, they don’t know the reasons (…)”.
