Katerina Lioliou: "If I wasn't a singer, I would be a philosophy professor at a university"

in the lens of Alpha’s “Happy Day”, at the awarding of her platinum record. She talked about her life and career, about Herodius and about love.

She stated that if she wasn’t a singer, she might have been a university professor: “I feel a lot of joy, a lot of gratitude, I thank the world and all my partners who helped me succeed. If I wasn’t a singer, I’d probably be a university professor.”

Speaking about Herodion he said: “I have seen many artists in Herodion. I don’t consider anything bad, nothing forbidden. I think there is no need to discuss this anymore. The Herodion in my head is about an appreciation. I’m still on the second record, we still have a long way to go.”

The singer added that she respects other people’s opinions about her, but they don’t concern her: “It didn’t bother me at all that they commented that I sang ‘Dithesio.’ First I sang on stages and then I got into bouzoukis. I don’t understand what this is all about. I will sing the songs I want. People who come to see me like that. The opinion of others is respected, it just doesn’t concern me.”

In closing, she talked about love and how important it is to her: “Love plays a very important role in my life. I have not hidden it, I have declared it that I am in love, I am in a relationship and I am fine. I just choose to keep a simple attitude, not to analyze it, and I’m glad that journalists respect that.”
