Argentine president was ironic when received by the PT member at the G20 with effusive images with the former president
The president of Argentina, Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza, right), shared this Monday (18.Nov.2024) a publication on his profile on X in a critical tone towards the president (PT). Milei is in Rio for the G20 Leaders Summit and .
The publication shows Lula greeting other leaders with handshakes and smiling hugs, such as Emmanuel Macron (France), Narendra Modi (India) and Pedro Sánchez (Spain). In Milei’s turn, the gesture is cold and formal. The video then cuts to the Argentine president meeting (PL) and greeting him effusively.

Milei in his speech at the G20 this Monday (Nov 18). According to him, what was supposed to be cooperation between countries creates barriers and impositions on those who think differently.
Milei’s Argentina stopped negotiations on the G20’s final declaration, but gave in in the end and decided to sign the document. Before that, it would not participate in the Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger created by Lula during the G20 presidency, but, shortly after its launch, the Argentines also joined the mechanism.
