Special Prosecutor for Women in , the senator (PSD-RN) presented a draft resolution to increase the presence of female parliamentarians in the composition of the (CMO) of Congress.

The board is responsible for analyzing, directing and monitoring resources that the federal government collects through taxes and manages through the Budget.

The senator’s project determines that a minimum of 30% and a maximum of 70% of the vacancies reserved for each House in the CMO will be filled by parliamentarians of each gender. This way, at least 25 female deputies and 6 senators would become part of the CMO, including members and substitutes.

The proposal also establishes that the functions of president and vice-president of the CMO will be exercised, every year, alternately, by representatives of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies and by gender, among the representatives of the same House.

The project also provides that the rapporteur of the budget guidelines bill and the general rapporteur of the annual budget bill cannot belong to the same House (Senate or Chamber), party or parliamentary bloc as the president, and will also be of a different gender. .
