In recent years, the wireless sector has experienced remarkable growth, reflecting a global trend towards digitalization and innovation. A survey carried out by (Fecomercio-SP) revealed that the number of jobs in the technology sector has increased significantly over the last decade. Using data from , the research found that between 2012 and 2022, the number of jobs in the technology market grew by 95%. In 2012, there were 445 thousand employment contracts in the sector, a number that jumped to 868 thousand in 2022.
The Fecomercio-SP study also highlighted the specific occupations within the technology market that grew the most in the last ten years. The position of computer operating systems engineer topped the ranking, with an impressive 741.2% increase in the number of jobs. Other professions that registered significant growth include IT management technologist, with an increase of 450.7%, and researcher in computer science and information technology, which grew 579.3%. Additionally, the number of computer applications engineers increased by 258%, while maintenance planning and scheduling technicians grew by 191.2%.
