A wreck up to 700 years old has been discovered in Lake Mjøsa in Norway.
The wreckage was found during a search for munitions dumped during the war in Lake Mjøsa in Norway.
It has been identified as a traditional Norwegian boat, used mainly on lakes and inland waters for the transport of goods and passengers, dating back up to 700 years.
The wreck is located at a depth of nearly 400 meters and was discovered by an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) used by the Norwegian military to map the lake, notes We.md with reference to .
The visible features of the wreck suggest that the vessel was built between 1300 and 1700.
Lake Mjøsa is the largest in Norway. It is located almost 100 kilometers north of Oslo. It covers more than 360 square kilometers, but only a small part of the lake bed has been mapped.
