The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued warnings for heavy rains in all regions of Brazil. The places that are likely to be most affected are in the Center-West, in the South of the North Region and, mainly, in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
The northern coasts of RS and southern SC are in red alert for high accumulated rainfall this Wednesday. There is a great risk of flooding, landslides and river overflows.

Due to the rains and a cold front in the region, the cities of Porto Alegre (RS) and Florianópolis (SC) are expected to present today’s lowest temperaturesaccording to the institute’s forecast.
Heat is expected to prevail in most parts of the country. Maximum temperatures are expected to exceed 30°C in 23 state capitals.
A North region must be the hottest this Wednesday. The minimum temperature should be 23°C in Rio Branco (AC), while the highest temperature is expected to be 37°C in Manaus (AM) and Boa Vista (RR).
