The new year will bring a reduction in the electricity price component for residential customers. On average, it will drop by 6%.
The customers of EDP Comercial will see the electricity price gets lower em 2025.
“Due to the more favorable conditions of electricity prices in the energy markets, EDP Comercial will again reduce the electricity price component for residential customers”, indicates EDP.
The reduction will be on average 6% will be held from the day January 1stannounces .
EDP adds that this new reduction will serve to “continue to offer favorable conditions to its customers”.
Still unsure about the total value of the invoice, due to the other components, customers are waiting for a reduction in the invoice from February onwards.
But this reduction is even the less significant that EDP has carried out over the last two years.
Almost two years ago, in January 2023, the electricity component fell 15%.
Still in 2023, but in the middle of the year (July), the biggest reduction appeared, of 21%.
In January of this year, it dropped again by 21% and in June it applied a reduction of 10% on the invoice.
