The Federal Police (PF), in security action at the G20 Leaders Summit, at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), at Aterro do Flamengo, south zone of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), through the Anti-Drone Monitoring Center, identified and acted on situations involving around 20 remotely piloted aircraft in the last 24 hours.
Because they were identified in the vicinity of safety areas and did not have authorization and communication of the flight plan, these aircraft had their signal interrupted, momentarily, causing them to land or return to the take-off point.
According to the PF, “none of these aircraft represented a threat to the event locations or to the foreign authorities participating in the meeting”.
