How to take care of raspberries in November to have a positive impact on their condition and to be able to count on lush harvests during the season? Thanks to these treatments, they will be healthy and should survive even intense frosts without any major problems.
Many gardeners believe that Pruning raspberries (late varieties that bear fruit in autumn) should be started in November, or even in winter. If you decide to do so, prepare the appropriate tool – clean, sharp secateurs, thanks to which you will precisely cut the shoots in the selected place without crushing them.
Before cutting raspberries, thoroughly clean the soil around the bushes from weeds so that they do not take away space and valuable nutrients from the raspberries. Once you get rid of them, remove the shoots just above the ground. Thanks to this, the plant will start sprouting fresh twigs. Also get rid of diseased and wilted elements.
