The soldiers from the Army’s elite troop, called ““, used one to plot against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the (STF). This is what the Federal Police (PF) report used to support this Tuesday’s operation (19) points out.
At the time of the events, after the 2022 presidential election, the Men’s Football World Cup was taking place in Qatar.
According to the PF, the messages exchanged in the group “demonstrate that those investigated were in the field, divided into specific locations to possibly carry out actions with the aim of arresting” Moraes.

The members of “Copa 2022” used code names to communicate.
“Parking in front of Gibão Carne de Sol. Parking for the exchange the first time”, is the message that arrived in the group on December 15, 2022, at 8:33 pm and was forwarded by a person using the code name “Brazil”.
As the conversation continues, “Brazil” asks what action should be taken.
A new member, now named “teixeiralafaiete230” and appointed by the PF as leader of the group, enters the dialogue and asks you to wait.
At 8:47 pm, Rafael de Oliveira (lieutenant colonel of the Brazilian Army arrested preventively this Tuesday morning), sends a message with the code name “Diogo Bast”.
“I’m in the position,” he wrote.
Shortly afterwards, a new member appears in the conversation. “Austria” notifies that “it is coming” and asks the position of “Ghana”, but receives no answer.
At 8:53 pm, the user “teixeiralafaiete230” sent a print of a news item stating that the STF had postponed the vote on the secret budget until next Monday.
“I’m close to the position. Are you going to cancel the game?” asks “Austria” four minutes later.
“Abort… Austria… return to the landing site… we are still here…” is the response he receives from “teixeiralafaiete230”.
The Federal Police retraced the path taken and mentioned by the members throughout the conversation and says that, after analysis, “it is entirely plausible that the person codenamed ‘Gana’ was close to Moraes’ functional residence”.
“Possibly, ‘Gana’ wanted to carry out the displacement without leaving any trace of its own location near the residence of minister Alexandre de Moraes. This fact explains why I did not use the travel app service, which would record the boarding location”, concludes the PF.
