Man arrested for burning ex-wife's breasts with lighter

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Bataguassu, Mato Grosso do Sul, for breaking into his ex-wife’s house and burning her breasts with a lighter. The victim has a protective measure against the suspect, which was breached, constituting yet another crime. Furthermore, he broke objects in the victim’s house.

The crime took place last Thursday (14), when the suspect, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, broke down the door of his ex-wife’s house and attacked her. The woman managed to escape to São Paulo, where she took shelter in a family home. He was arrested four days later.

Investigations showed that the man had a copy of the key to his ex-wife’s house and used to break into the house to steal objects that were then exchanged for drugs. The Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul requested the arrest of the suspect and managed to preventively arrest him.

The accused was sent to the prison system.
