Parliamentary front wants to discuss public fund for NGOs – 11/20/2024 – Panel

With launch scheduled for next Tuesday (26), the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of wants to discuss the creation of a specific fund for the sector and a tax incentive regime for donations to NGOs.

The front will be coordinated by deputy Reimont (PT-RJ), who will be responsible for the group’s dialogue with the Board of Directors. In addition to the two agendas, the group also wants to debate more transparent and predictable processes in parliamentary amendments.

The fund for civil society organizations seeks to ensure that, especially smaller and community organizations, they have sustainable sources of financing, as is the case with .

Data from Ipea (Institute for Applied Economic Research) show that there are, in Brazil, more than 870 thousand organizations, 80% of which are micro or small, in addition to another 200 thousand movements without civil or tax registrations.
