PF stated that intercepted drones did not threaten the security of G20 leaders

The Federal Police (PF) intercepted more than 20 drones in the security area of ​​the Museum of Modern Art during an action to guarantee security there, through the Anti-Drone Monitoring Center installed in Rio de Janeiro.

Remotely piloted aircraft that did not have authorization and flight plan communication had their signal interrupted, momentarily, forcing them to land or return to the takeoff point.

“None of these aircraft posed a threat to the event sites or to foreign authorities participating in the meeting”said the Federal Police. The G20 summit concluded its activities last Tuesday (19.Nov.2024), after 2 days of debates and meetings between representatives of the participating countries.
