For thinker Alexander Dugin, the current US president would be “provoking” a nuclear war to prevent Trump from taking office
The Russian philosopher and ultranationalist, known for supporting Vladimir Putin’s bellicose speech, stated that the war in Ukraine, which completed 1,000 days this Tuesday (19.Nov.2024), could de-escalate with the transition of power in the United States, with the election of Donald Trump (Republican Party) to the presidency.
“One thing is absolutely certain: Trump means de-escalation [da guerra]. Maybe in the long run, maybe not so quickly, but it will be. Biden tries to make this de-escalation impossible”he stated. For the right-wing thinker, under the Trump administration, the West will no longer be seen as “enemy”.
“Under the Biden administration, they have legitimized all kinds of degradation and perversion. We hope that Trump will bring American society back to traditional values.”continued. Joe Biden (Democratic Party) will leave the White House in January 2025, when Trump will assume his 2nd term, after defeating Kamala Harris, vice president and Democratic candidate.
The philosopher also accused Biden of being “the craziest, most degenerate and evil president in US history”stating that the Democrat was provoking a nuclear war with Russia to prevent Trump from taking office. “The West’s ‘green light’ for Ukraine to attack Russia is the only way for the ‘Democrat gang’ to stay in power by starting a nuclear war before Trump becomes president.”these.
For Dugin, no one can say “for sure” that nuclear World War III will be avoided, as Russia “will definitely respond” Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles.
This Tuesday (November 19, 2024), Kiev, for the first time, used missiles supplied by the USA to attack Russia. Biden’s use of these weapons on Sunday (17.nov).
WHO IS ALEXANDER DUGIN
Alexander Dugin is a right-wing and ultranationalist Russian thinker. He was cited by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during the start of the war in Ukraine, in February 2022. He is known for defending in his books the expansion of the protagonism of the country of origin as a way of opposing great global powers, such as the United States.
It was also Dugin who revived the expression “Novorossiya”or New Russia, to deal with territories that, from his perspective, should be annexed to Russia. The term was used by Putin in 2014, during the annexation of Crimea to the country.
Because of the history, the philosopher was sanctioned by the US for committing actions or policies that threaten the peace, security, stability or sovereignty or territorial integrity of Ukraine.
