One of the main obstacles that soldiers face on the front, besides technology, is misinformationespecially that which comes from the commanders themselves within their own ranks. This was announced by pro-Moscow military bloggers, who responded angrily to the officers of Russia’s Third Combined Arms Army, denouncing that they made inaccurate reports about the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Although the information from the commanders comes from official channels, it is believed that this could be conditioned and offer a somewhat sweetened situation of how the conflict is being conducted. According to the Russian Telegram channel ‘Rybar‘, many of the commanders have been arrested for announcing “the false capture of settlements”which has led to the revocation of some senior officials for lying about the progress made.
“The lies were not only in the reports,” highlighted one of the posts published by the channel, which added that correspondents had even been invited to interview combatants. “who boasted of the media capture of non-existent villages” to contrast these false claims.
In this way, as announced by the Telegram channel ‘Ossetian‘two brigades are being investigated, the 6th and the 123rd, and that “all command staff” have been replaced after discovering several lies. “I hope people don’t make the same mistakes,” the post concluded.
The channel also agreed ‘OK SPN’, which highlighted that the units of the third Combined Arms Army are based on “lies, which have caused sad consequences” which have generated unnecessary losses. For its part, the Institute for Armed Warfare stated that this fact has caused “a point of neuralgia for the military community blogger Russian” near Bilohorivka, as Moscow lost quite a few personnel trying to raid this settlement.
