Ingredients needed
Before starting work, prepare all the necessary ingredients. For the dough, you will need 300 g of plain flour, 100 ml of lukewarm milk, a teaspoon of granulated sugar, 20 g of fresh yeast, 1 egg yolk, 100 g of sour cream, 50 g of softened butter and a pinch of salt. For the filling, you can use ham, bacon, sliced cheese, Niva, or other cheese according to your taste. Then egg white, spices, various types of seeds for sprinkling and salt for spreading.
Yeasted ham and cheese rolls
First, pour lukewarm milk into a bowl, add sugar and fresh yeast and let the yeast rise. Meanwhile, sift the flour and mix it with a pinch of salt. Once the yeast is ready, pour it carefully into the flour and add the raw yolk and sour cream. Mix all the ingredients and then add the softened butter. Then work out a smooth and non-sticky dough and let it rise.
Make rolls
Divide the dough into two buns and always roll each into a round pancake, which you divide into 8 equal triangles. Put slices of ham, bacon and pieces of cheese on each of them, you can also add herbs and your favorite spices.
Then twist each piece from the thicker side into a roll. To prevent the cheese from leaking, fold the ends of the dough into the center and only then roll it up. The edge of the dough should always be on the underside of the roll so that it does not come loose. Then coat each piece with egg white, sprinkle with your chosen spices and seeds.
You can start baking
Spread the rolls prepared in this way evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. As a result, they should have a golden color.
As soon as the rolls have cooled slightly, you can serve them on the table. In case you don’t have time to use them all, you can heat them dry in a pan the next day. An excellent side dish is a fresh vegetable salad, as well as dips of various flavors.
