Anita Bandoji, account director at OpenAI, shared her perspectives on the transformation brought about by generative artificial intelligence (AI), highlighting its differences from traditional AI and its impact on companies. The statements were made during a panel at the Superlógica Next 2024 event, which took place this Tuesday (19) in São Paulo.
Bandoji opened his talk by stating that “the transformation of generative AI is already here”. According to her, generative AI, a subgroup of AI, is capable of creating new content, such as texts, images, projects and designs in a matter of seconds, demonstrating the immense potential of this technology. “That’s the power of generative AI,” he emphasized.
She also presented impressive data on the rapid adoption of generative AI. ChatGPT, for example, took just five days to reach one million users, while Instagram took 75 days to achieve the same feat.

The exponential growth reflects the increasing priority that AI has for executives, with 85% saying the technology is a priority in their business strategies.
Furthermore, Bandoji highlighted that 78% of employees are already integrating AI into their daily tasks, highlighting how technology is becoming a fundamental part of the work environment. “Generative AI empowers people, empowers your employees to improve company processes. No one knows more about a task than those who perform it,” he said.
However, despite the benefits, Bandoji acknowledged that implementing generative AI can be challenging. “Everything seems wonderful, but how do we start?” he asked.

To achieve this, she suggested some crucial strategies: developing an AI strategy, innovating with employees and selecting partners according to employees’ needs, without forgetting that data protection and privacy are essential.
Furthermore, the executive defended a collaborative approach to technology between different areas of the same company. “Generative AI works best in the hands of many people”, he pointed out.
