It is worth using home methods to fertilize plants, which also work in the spirit of zero waste. For this purpose, we can use the water left over from the beans we prepared for dinner. It will have a great effect on our anthurium. Check out how to prepare one.

When growing anthurium, it is worth feeding it in various ways. One of them is using bean water. It is a natural nutrient that is perfect for plants with a high demand for nitrogen and other basic nutrients. We can use it not only for anthuriums, but also for monsteras, ferns, hyacinths, African violets and herbs.

By using this anthurium conditioner, your flowers will always be intensely red. To prepare this liquid fertilizer, we do not need water after cooking the beans, because the water from soaking them is enough, which will work better in this case. This is due to the fact that soluble nutrients penetrate into the water during soaking, including:.:

  • Azote – it is necessary for the development of green parts of the plant because it supports the production of chlorophyll.
  • Phosphorus – is very important for root development, fruiting and flowering. It strengthens the root system and makes the plant absorb water and nutrients more effectively. Thus, it supports long-lasting flowering.
  • Potassium – it improves the overall condition of the plant, while increasing its resistance to diseases. It also has a positive effect on water management. It is essential especially during the fruiting and flowering period.

However, water after cooking beans will contain much fewer nutrients and may contain substances that are harder for plants to absorb.

Preparing this natural and very effective anthurium conditioner is not complicated. Therefore, it is worth preparing it when preparing dishes based on Jaś beans, when it requires soaking for 12 hours.

After this time, instead of throwing away this water, let’s use it to feed anthurium and other green and flowering plants. To do this, we only need to dilute the water from soaking the beans with cool water in a 1:1 ratio.

Conditioner from the water after soaking the beans should be used in reasonable quantities. The frequency of its use depends on the season. In spring and summer, during the growth period, we use it once every 2-4 weeks, and during the rest period, i.e. in autumn and winter, once every 4-6 weeks.
