US parliamentary leader Johnson wants to ban trans MPs from using the women’s toilet

Washington – The Republican leader of the US House of Representatives wants to ban the first trans woman in Congress from using women’s restrooms. The women’s and men’s restrooms in the Capitol and in the House of Representatives office buildings are “reserved for persons of the respective biological sex,” Mike Johnson said in a written statement. There is a private toilet in every representative office and unisex toilets are available throughout the Capitol, the Republican added. “Women deserve women-only spaces.”
