Russian software company Pro32 hired Sergey, a seven-year-old child genius from St. Petersburg.
This was announced by the BBC.
The boy was offered to head the company’s training department.
According to Russian law, Serghei cannot get a paid job until he is 14 years old. However, Pro32 general manager Igor Mandik has already spoken to the student’s parents about looking for ideas for collaboration.
“His father Kirill was surprised and said they are very happy and looking forward to Sergey joining the company,” Mandik noted. The Pro32 offer will be valid for 11 years.
The programming genius has been publishing educational programming videos for two years. His YouTube channel has over 3,500 subscribers interested in learning Python and Unity as well as neural networks. Serghei explains to the aspirants how to learn to write software programs from the age of five. It was the CEO of Pro32 who drew attention to these videos, comparing the boy to Mozart.
According to Mandik, not only programmers, but also sellers, accountants and other Pro32 specialists could learn from Serghei.
“Serioga, in addition to his unique skills for this age as a developer, has an equally unique ability to teach others. Therefore, our job offer for Sergey was not to hire him as a developer, but to hire him as the head of the corporate training center. That is, to teach our employees the same way their subscribers are learning now,” the head of the Moscow company told Business FM.
