Do you know where to throw away your fish can? Almost everyone is doing it wrong

This is a topic that should concern everyone. It is an obligation and a good habit that contributes to the protection of the natural environment, but it only serves nature when used products are placed in appropriate containers.

While the rules for throwing away waste, such as leaflets, old newspapers or bottles, do not pose a major problem for anyone, more problematic garbage does. Do you know where to throw away your fish can? Most people have no idea about this.

In 2024, sorting basic waste is already an instinctive action for many people. Less and less often you need to be reminded that paper goes into blue containers, plastic and metal into yellow containers.

As is also known, glass should be thrown into those marked green. Of course, there is also bio-waste (including peelings) that should be thrown into the brown bin.

However, it is not always that easy. There is more problematic garbage, such as canned fishwhich Poles will use even more often during the holidays (including to prepare pasta or fish salads and other tasty dishes). Here, however, proper waste segregation can be easily learned.

Just remember that fish remains should be placed in a container with mixed waste, and the can itself (after cleaning from oil and food) should be placed in a yellow container – intended for metals and plastics. Before throwing away the canned food packaging, it is a good idea to crush it so that more waste can fit into the bin.
