Two games away for Flamengo, Gabigol should return in the team’s next match, against Fortaleza, on Tuesday (26/11). Despite the recent controversies and the punishment received by the attacker, it is expected that there will be a farewell party.
Despite being away, Gabigol is training normally with the rest of the squad. Flamengo’s vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, explained what the next steps should be involving the relationship between club and player.

– I think that moment was a title moment, an important national title against a historic opponent of ours. But we can’t control it, nor can we get upset or out of control because of it. The player understood that he should speak out at that moment (stating that he would leave Flamengo at the end of the year). Once again, I think it could have been avoided, but it is the player’s right to take a stand – said the manager.

Will there be a farewell party for Gabigol at Flamengo?
According to UOL, the idea is for a farewell party to take place at Maracanã, in front of the fans, in the last round of the Brazilian Championship, against Vitória.
The intention is for the tribute to be made “in line with the meaning that Gabigol has with the club”.
Will Gabigol play for Cruzeiro?
Cruzeiro is Gabigol’s most likely destination. He has a deal underway with Raposa and should be the club’s main reinforcement for next season.
At the Minas Gerais team, he will receive double what he earned at Flamengo – the amount will be around R$3 million per month. But the contract is not signed. And Cruzeiro has reached the limit: the proposal has been made, and the club does not intend to enter into an auction for Gabigol.
This Wednesday (20/11), Cruzeiro’s owner, Pedro Lourenço, spoke about his desire to have the center forward.
– We are waiting for Gabigol and it is our dream, right? We hope that we will have a happy New Year – said the businessman in an interview with ge.
