Florent Pagny in doubt before his last check by the doctors: “I had a problem”
On November 6, it celebrated its 63rd candle. So her daughter was there, she who recently went to the set of What an era! to discuss the release of Pagny by Ael (HarperCollins): a photo book in which the young photographer immortalizes the career and intimate moments of her father, mixing stage shots with other, more personal ones, such as that of his father.
Today, Florent Pagny is more than ever on the path to recovery from his lung cancer. “I had a fifth check yesterday. Nothing is moving, but we continue to monitor“, he has just revealed to Paris Matchin a cross-interview with Marc Lavoine, to be found in today’s edition of the magazine, this Thursday, November 21, 2024. As a reminder, he is back on the front of the stage and will also find his coaching chair for the next season of The Voicesoon to be broadcast on TF1.
Florent Pagny, this “little moment of doubt” that he has just gone through
There is therefore no question for him of putting an end to his singing career. The only thing that would make him stop, “it’s not being able to sing well anymore“. And he’s not there yet, although he recently had a little scare about it: “I had a problem just recently, I hadn’t been behind a microphone in a year and I was struggling. – his song was good – to do a track in support of Paul Watson, and I realized that I really needed to warm up my voice. I sufferedand then the good verses like the good choruses arrived at the end of the session. But Ihad this little moment of doubt, where I said to myself ‘damn I’m getting old’.”
But more fear than harm for Florent Pagny, who we can’t wait to see again soon on television. “It’s good for The Voice that Florent is there. It’s good for us that Florent is here! A guy like him shouldn’t die. So he’s not going to die“, said Marc Lavoine, who came to conclude this very beautiful interview.
The interview can be found in full in the issue of Paris Match this Thursday, November 21, 2024.
