If we want to get rid of hair dye, we must know how to use coconut oil properly so that it can bring real results. Fortunately, it is not complicated and just a few simple steps are enough to remove unwanted shade from your hair. Here’s what to do:
- Melt the coconut oil – it’s best to do it in a water bath, which will warm it up slightly, which will make it penetrate the hair better. However, be careful that it is not hot.
- Apply oil to damp hair – spread the appropriate amount of oil on freshly washed but water-drained hair. By keeping the strands moist, the dye pigment will dissolve faster.
- Massage in gently – massage the oil into the hair up to the ends, paying attention to distribute it evenly, especially in the most heavily colored areas.
- We cover head – we can do it with a cap or a towel. The heat will help the oil penetrate deeper into the hair and speed up the process of dissolving the dye.
