The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued warnings for intense rain that is expected to affect 17 states and the Federal District.
Forecasts indicate that rainfall may exceed 60 mm/h, especially in the Central-West regions and Rondônia, where winds can reach up to 100 km/h.

The yellow alert of “potential danger” covers an extensive list of states, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Bahia, among others.

Given the risks, Inmet recommends that residents of affected areas avoid taking shelter under trees and turn off electrical appliances and the general energy supply, when possible.
In addition to the direct risks of rain, authorities also warn of the possibility of interruptions in the supply of electricity, which could worsen the situation in some regions.
