A week of harsh words, blockades, party-politically motivated confrontations surrounding the confirmation of the future members of the EU Commission. The turning point came on Wednesday: Christian Democrats, Social Democrats and Liberals agreed to confirm all 26 candidates for the top jobs in Brussels. Next week, the plenary session in Strasbourg will vote on President Ursula von der Leyen’s team.
