A 27-year-old man was executed with dozens of shots last Wednesday (20) in Contagem, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. During the crime, his 2-year-old daughter was also injured – but survived.
Father and daughter were found inside a vehicle riddled with gunshots. According to the Military Police, the executed victim was involved in drug trafficking and was arriving home when he was surprised by the criminals.
According to the police, the girl had injuries to one of her feet and was rescued and taken to a nearby Emergency Care Unit and then transferred to the Contagem Municipal Hospital. The child is not at risk of dying.
Official forensics were on site to collect evidence and now the corporation is investigating the circumstances, motivation and authorship of the crime. So far no one has been arrested.
The man’s body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
