The deputy also stated that the former PS governments were “co-responsible” for the crisis that INEM is facing. This has a face and names: former minister Marta Temido, former minister Manuel Pizarro and former Finance Minister Fernando Medina”.
The PS deputy, Sofia Andraderesponded to accusations from the right, asking the PSD for “seriousness” and highlighting the investment made by the left-wing government in INEM.
“The PS governments adopted measures, there was investment. Between 2016 and 2018, 100% of the Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle fleet was renewed; in 2016, the special career of pre-hospital emergency technician was created; In 2022, technicians’ remuneration was increased”, he recalled.
The deputy also accused the PSD of building a “narrative based on untruths“.

INEM Workers Committee heard today
The INEM Workers’ Committee is being heard in the Assembly today, at the request of Chega, a meeting that was only supposed to take place on Friday, but was brought forward.
In statements to deputies of the parliamentary health committee, cited by Lusa, the committee points out that the refounding of the institute must go through stop using secondary transport, such as transfers of users between hospitals, which diverts resources from urgent assistance, in relation to which “urgent calls are coming in that need resources”.
