Storm on US West Coast: Two dead, hundreds of thousands without power

Sacramento (California)/Seattle – Heavy rain, hurricane-force winds: Extreme weather on the US West Coast has claimed lives and paralyzed parts of the region with power outages. Authorities in Washington state have so far reported two deaths from the storm. Accordingly, a woman was killed by a fallen tree in a homeless camp. Another woman died in her home when a tree fell on the building.
