“Traveling away from my family was impossible given what we were going through (…) My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then my son was diagnosed with another rare form of cancer (him in the spine, nbdlr), just two months later. His fight was particularly difficult because he was battling cancer that had no cure (…) Finding medicine and doctors, finding someone who could do something for him was a full-time job (…) Furthermore, as the cancer progressed, he became more and more infirm and therefore needed more and more care.”
