Political commentator José Pacheco Pereira carried out “an exercise” to show the Portuguese “what the Trump Government means” with the choices that have been announced for his administration.
Thus, Pacheco Pereira tried to “think” what a Government constituted in Portugal would be, with the criteria he is using in the constitution of his future team in the White House.
“An exercise” for “people understand what they are dealing with” and how Trump’s election is a “very serious situation” to the world, explains the commentator on the program “The Principle of Uncertainty” on CNN Portugal.
This Portuguese government in the image of Trump would be made up of “three dominant parties: He arrives, ADN (National Democratic Alternative) and CDSbegins by noticing Pacheco Pereira.
Given this, the commentator defined this imaginary Executive as follows:
- Minister of Foreign Affairs – Antonio Tanger Corrêa (Member of Chega)
- Minister of Internal Administration – Pedro Pinto (leader of Chega’s parliamentary group)
- Minister of Health – Bruno Fialho (DNA leader who is anti-vaccines) or Margarida Oliveira (leader of a movement against vaccines called Doctors for Truth)
– “Czar” that Borders – Andre Ventura
– Minister of Justice – Rui Fonseca e Castro (who was expelled from the Order, but who was, and who is part of the extreme right party)
– Minister of Defense – Nuno Melo (CDS leader) or Major General Augustine Costa (who has pro-Russian positions)
– Ministra da Culture – Joana Amaral Dias (former member of the Bloco de Esquerda who ran for DNA in the last European elections and who has been involved in many social media events)
– Minister of Education – Paulo Nuncio (CDS deputy who is against the discipline of )
– Ministra da Economy – Camilo Lourenço (Economics journalist known for his radical positions)
– Ministra da Family – Isabel Galriça Neto (doctor and former CDS deputy known for her positions against abortion).
Pacheco Pereira was unable to find a figure who perfectly fit Trump’s image and who could take on the role of Prime Minister in this imaginary Portuguese Government.
The political commentator also adds that “none of these people” mentioned “have reason to be feel insulted for mentioning their names.”
Pacheco Pereira explains that he was “careful” to compare his “positions” with those that are “the dominant positions in the Trump administration“, concluding that they fit perfectly.
