The television series that aired from October 6, 1997 to June 22, 1998 on the Mega Channel television station, was one of the most popular programs in the history of Greek television and by far the most popular of the 1990s.
Characteristically, it even surpassed the World Cup in France held in the summer of 1998.
The unimaginable 76.5%
Characteristic of the frenzy that prevailed for the series, was that the episode aired on February 9, 1998 scored a rate of 76.7%, surpassing 3,500,000 viewers.
The forbidden love
The script of the series was written by Stavros Avdoulos and Irini Ritsoni, while the direction of the series was edited by Manousos Manousakis. The story of the series describes the forbidden love of a young architect and a gypsy woman, as well as the obstacles and differences of these two worlds. The role of the architect Antonis Mavrakis was played by Apostolos Gletsos, while the role of the young gypsy Eratos was played by Anna-Maria Papacharalambous. The rest of the lead cast is completed by Yiannis Voglis, Faii Kokkinopoulou, Michalis Iatropoulos, Kaiti Papanika and Antonis Antoniou.
The series was aired every Monday night on Mega Channel and consists of 33 episodes of 45 minutes.
