Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had already been observed by a medical team on Monday
The director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was hospitalized at Hospital Samaritano Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro. The information is provided by , this Thursday.
Tedros went to “the hospital with symptoms of labyrinthitis and a hypertensive crisis” and is now under observation.
According to the Brazilian newspaper, the director of the WHO had already shown the first signs of feeling unwell on Monday, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, which required initial medical attention from the team working at the event. Tedros had, at the time, high blood pressure values, having been properly medicated and returned to his duties as soon as the numbers stabilized.
