The president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has decided to urgently reinforce security measures in the face of the attack by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, on Ukraine, carried out with a medium range missile, as reported by Tokyayev’s spokesman, Berik Uali, in a Facebook post.
“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed the Prime Minister, the head of the presidential administration, the heads of all security agencies and the akims to take urgent measures to ensure the security of the main military and civilian facilities in related to the escalation of the situation in Ukraine,” said the spokesperson, who stated that the situation is now under the president’s directives.
“The main strategic objective of our state is maintain stability, peace and public order. “Kazakhstan has repeatedly advocated ending hostilities between the two Slavic peoples through negotiations,” Tokayev’s spokesman said.
These measures arise in response to the attack with a medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile carried out this Thursday by Russia against Ukraine, which Vladimir Putin later acknowledged through a television message.
