Amazon announced this Thursday that it will hire 6,500 temporary employees in Brazil to reinforce its operations for the Black Friday sales season, at the end of this month, an increase of 8% compared to 2023.
The hires will reinforce the company’s base of more than 18 thousand direct and indirect employees in Brazil, double the number announced last year.
“Since last Black Friday, we have added more than 80 logistics hubs in Brazil,” said in a statement Daniel Mazini, president of Amazon Brazil, which operates 10 distribution centers and more than 100 delivery stations across the country.

For Black Friday 2024, which on Amazon Brazil starts on Friday and continues until December 2, the company will have 130 million products available for purchase in around 50 categories, between retail and marketplace services.
