The Army soldier from the 7th Engineering and Construction Battalion (BEC), identified as Kauan Venâncio Correia, 21 years old, was seriously injured after colliding his motorcycle into the side of a car on Thursday night (22), near the 4ª Ponte, at the intersection of Travessa Cearense and Avenida Durval Camilo, in the 6 de Agosto neighborhood, in the Second District region of Rio Branco.
According to information from witnesses, Kauan was having a tereré at Pracinha da Juventude with friends and went to drop off a friend at her house, located on Avenida Durval Camilo. The young man was driving a red Titan model motorcycle. On the way back, he possibly exceeded the speed limit and hit the side of a silver Fiat Uno car, which was traveling in the center-neighborhood direction and had advanced into the preferential lane, not respecting the STOP sign, causing the accident.

With the impact, the force of the collision caused the car to roll on the track, and the motorcycle was destroyed. Kauan was thrown violently, suffering a fracture in his right arm and a very serious traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Residents of the region were very helpful, helped the victim and called the police and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). Samu sent an advanced support ambulance to provide initial assistance. Kauan needed to be intubated and is in a very serious condition.

A basic support ambulance was also called to assist the driver of the vehicle, identified as Gracilene Bento Sena, 50 years old, who suffered an anxiety attack and needed medical attention. After treatment, the woman was taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) of the Second District.

The Traffic Police were called and isolated the area for forensic work. After carrying out the usual procedures, the motorcycle and car were removed by a tow truck.
