Portuguese visual artist Bordalo II decided to join thein a campaign to raise awareness of the urgent need to combat climate change.
In a joint post on social media, the artist and the activist collective shared a video of the moment they replaced the advertising on a billboard in Lisbon with images of natural disasters hitting the world.

“Using large luminous storefronts that have invaded the city, we exchange dubious advertising for true images of a reality that should scare us all and mobilize us to action. It’s time to come together and demand more from our politicians and international organizations – meetings where if promises are made that are not meant to be fulfilled and state budgets that ignore this issue are not a solution.
Under the motto “Stop While We Can”, they also announced that A demonstration will be held on Saturday (November 23rd), starting at 3:00 p.m.at Praça Paiva Couceiro, in Lisbon.
