A 1,000-page document describing how Germany would react pwith a possible war that would break out with Russia leaked by local media. The document, named “Operations Plan Germany”, is described by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
The newspaper said it lists mainly commercial buildings and infrastructure that should be protected by the German armed forces and offers local businesses advice on how to respond to the war – including preparing replacement staff in case migrant workers leave Germany.
It also reportedly contained advice on raising awareness about drone surveillance, the cyber attacks and other forms of espionage in local communities. It also details how Germany would logistically manage hosting tens of thousands of NATO troops if required.
According to the publication, Bundeswehr recently began preparing companies for a future emergency based on this secret plan.
Thus, the head of the territorial defense administration of the federal state of Hamburg, Jorn Plischkehe advised in a meeting with representatives of German companies to train at least 5 out of 100 employees to drive trucks, stock up on diesel generators and have an advance plan for workers in the event of a crisis.
