The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s bribery trial has postponed his sentencing, which was scheduled for next week.
Judge Juan Merchan granted Trump’s request to file a motion to dismiss the case – ordering them to produce their documents by December 2. Prosecutors must respond by December 9th. Trump’s team wanted to have until December 20 to submit their documentation.
The judge also agreed to postpone his decision on presidential immunity until he reviews the documents presented by the parties.
The judge did not set a new sentencing date or make any other statements about the postponement.
