After being indicted by the Federal Police, former president Jair Bolsonaro once again denied any relationship with the coup attempt or any dialogue about the plan to kill current president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). In interview Seepublished this Thursday (22), Bolsonaro states that he never discussed a plan to kill anyone.

“At the Presidency there were more or less 3,000 people in that building. If a guy comes up with some kind of business, what do I have to do with it? Discussing a plan with me to kill someone, that never happened,” said Bolsonaro.

The former president also guaranteed that he would “never agree to any plan to carry out a coup”. “When they spoke to me, it was always to use the state of siege, something constitutional, which would depend on the approval of Congress”, he explained.

This Thursday (21), Bolsonaro and 36 other people were indicted in the investigation investigating an alleged attempted coup d’état in the country. The PF sent the report, which is confidential, to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

According to the People’s Gazettefor the PF, Bolsonaro knew about the alleged planning of a coup d’état and the actions that were being articulated to make it happen.

After receiving the report, Moraes must submit it to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), which will have two weeks to decide whether to agree with the indictment requests, request archiving or indicate new steps.

Those mentioned will be indicted for the crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état and criminal organization.
