Torres announces legal actions by the PSOE against Aldama and accuses Feijóo of “lowering himself to spokesperson for a confessed criminal”
The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has announced that the PSOE is finalizing a joint complaint by the cadres accused by Víctor de Aldama, alleged getter of the Koldo casehaving received bites. Torres has indicated that “today” they will present the “pertinent judicial action” after the businessman stated on Thursday in the National Court that Koldo García asked him for 50,000 euros for Torres, 25,000 euros for the chief of staff of the first vice president María Jesús Montero, Carlos Moreno, and 15,000 euros for Santos Cerdán, current Secretary of Organization of the PSOE.
According to sources from the PSOE, the party will present a “joint complaint” for insults and slander on behalf of all the party members mentioned by Aldama. “A country like Spain cannot allow the political agenda to be set by confessed criminals who slander without evidence, just to leave Soto del Real and sleep at home,” denounces the PSOE.
“This man yesterday made very broad and very serious statements, accusations based on lies, lies, hoaxes and insidiousness. Since lies cannot come for free, today we are going to file a lawsuit against all these accusations without evidence due to their absolutely serious nature,” the minister said. “There is not a single piece of evidence, not a single document that proves his statement,” highlighted the minister, who, like his colleague Félix Bolaños, has mocked some of Aldama’s statements. “We are talking about a person capable of stating that he collaborated with the CIA and MI6—secret services of the United States and the United Kingdom—and he has failed to say that he did so with the TIA, for whom we read Mortadelo and Filemón comics,” has stressed.
Regarding the motion of censure aired by the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, he said that “he is not going to present it, because he does not have numbers or a project for the country” and has stated that Feijóo “ended up lowering himself to becoming a spokesperson for a confessed criminal” for giving credibility to Aldama. “Perhaps what you find is internal censorship in your own party, you are in anguish and anxiety, but we tell you that there is a Government for a while,” he concluded.
