Nerves kicked in at the end of the 0-0 draw at Independência, in Belo Horizonte. Several players left the field claiming that Luiz Henrique called Atlético a “shit team”. Hulk then challenged the attacker, citing his time in the Brazilian team and asking for humility.

“Luiz Henrique arrived for our reserve goalkeeper, I didn’t hear him. He came to (Matheus) Mendes, at halftime of the game, and said that Atlético is very weak, shit”, he said. “Luiz Henrique has everything, everything, to be a star. But it’s not yet. ”, completed Hulk.

“It’s too far away. I think it’s humility first. I will never come here and say that a team is shit, that a player is shit. May it serve as a learning experience. He told our goalkeeper that our team is shit. He took five shots for the Seleção. I spent seven years in the national team. He has to run a lot and respect it”, he concluded.

The confusion

The confusion spilled over into the provocations at the end of the game. The most angry player was Alexander Barboza, sent off in the 52nd minute of the second half. . Meanwhile, he had to be restrained by Botafogo security guards.

At the end of the match, he filmed the players leaving for the locker room. Stadium security tried to calm down the chaos and there was a lot of pushing and shoving, including the throwing of protective bars.
