Green Rail Pass went on sale a month ago and already has 30 thousand subscriptions. More than half are new passes.
O Green Rail Pass It became available at Comboios de Portugal (CP) ticket offices and vending machines, only in Lisbon, a month ago.

In a statement sent to ZAP, the company explains that 61% of signatures are new passes, e 39% they are reconversions of existing Green Rail Pass subscriptions.
And the young people made a great contribution, with 40% of subscriptions: 23% of passes were purchased by young people between 21 and 30 years old, while 17% of subscriptions are from young people up to 20 years old.
During this period, more than 70 thousand reservations of travel on Intercidades trains.
The pass costs 20 euros and can be purchased on any day of the month, valid for 30 consecutive days. There is also the option to purchase for 60 or 90 days, at a cost of 40 euros and 60 euros, respectively.
It can be used on Intercidades (second class), Regional, InterRegional (second class), urban trains in Coimbra and some urban routes in Lisbon and Porto – outside the areas covered by metropolitan intermodal passes.
The Green Rail Pass does not combine with other discounts.
