Russia did not use an intercontinental ballistic missile in the attack it launched today in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, two Western officials told Reuters, contradicting the official version from Ukraine.
The Western officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the assessment was based on initial analysis and left open the possibility that that conclusion could change.
Intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) are strategic weapons that can deliver long-range nuclear strikes and are an important part of Russia’s nuclear deterrent.
