700 games: Atletico celebrated victory on Simeone’s anniversary

Madrid – Diego Simeone celebrated a victory in his 700th appearance as coach of Atlético Madrid. Thanks to late goals from Antoine Griezmann (75th) and Alexander Sörloth (86th), the Rojiblancos won 2-1 (0-1) against Deportivo Alaves on Saturday. Atlético temporarily moved up to second place in La Liga after their third success in a row.
