The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the clashes in the first knockout phase of the Copa do Nordeste 2025. There are 16 clubs fighting for four places in the group stage of the competition. The games will take place between January 4th and 5th.
In this first phase, the 16 clubs are divided into eight clashes, according to the CBF ranking, in an Olympic crossover. They face each other once, guaranteeing eight teams in the second phase, which will also be held in a single game, on January 8th.
The four classified join the teams already confirmed in the group stage of the Copa do Nordeste, which has nine state champions: Altos-PI, América-RN, Ceará, Confiança-SE, CRB-AL, Sousa-PB, Sport, Vitória and Sampaio Corrêa-MA, in addition to the teams that were guaranteed by the ranking: Bahia, Náutico and Fortaleza, the current champion of the tournament.
The participants in the knockout phase are: CSA-AL, Barcelona-BA, ABC-RN, Santa Cruz-RN, Ferroviário-CE, Maracanã-CE, Botafogo-PB, Maranhão-MA, Retrô-PE, Treze-PB, Juazeirense -BA, ASA-AL, Santa Cruz-PE, Fluminense-PI, Moto Club-MA, and Sergipe-SE.
In addition to the dates reserved for the knockout phase, the CBF has already confirmed three more: January 22nd, February 5th and 12th. The entity will still need five more to carry out the group stage, in addition to the four in the knockout stages, until the champion is defined.

The teams on the left, as they are better ranked, play at home. In case of a draw, the classification will be decided on penalties. The crossing of the second phase of the qualifier will also be defined through the CBF ranking.
