Zamiokulkas is the “jewel of Zanzibar” (where it comes from), so grown in Slovakia’s mild climate as a potted plant, it needs the right conditions for healthy development.
The room in which it stands should be reasonably warm – at least around 17-18 degrees Celsius. It does not require a very bright place. A semi-shady place is enough, because with too much light it can start to turn brown (spots on the leaves).
It is recommended to transplant the plant every 2-3 years. The substrate for growing zamioculi must be permeable. In addition to the standard soil for cacti and succulents, it is best to add sand or drainage to its bottom. Frequent watering of the flower is not necessary, as it is resistant to temporary drought.
