A 25-year-old man was arrested red-handed after killing five dogs in Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo, last Thursday afternoon (21). The animals belonged to the young man’s mother.
When the Military Police arrived at the scene, it was discovered that the man had killed the animals and buried them in a hole in the backyard of the residence where he lives. The man confessed to the crime and was arrested.
The dogs’ bodies were removed by the Animal Protection and Welfare Department of Limeira City Hall. The site underwent forensic examination.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the case was registered as “committing an act of animal abuse” at the city’s Sectional Police Station.
